2026 Annual Business Meeting
President's Message
“We are preparing for the 2026 Annual Business Meeting, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, at the P1FCU Administration Center, located at 1025 Warner Avenue in Lewiston, Idaho.”
2025 has come and gone, and I always wonder, how do the years go by so fast! So many activities, programs, innovations, community events, staff events, strategic plan initiatives to accomplish, and our never-ending goal of providing our members with the best service possible as we strive to provide Financial Well-Being for All.
2025 was a year of creating greater efficiency and strengthening our reserves for the betterment of our membership and P1FCU. We met or exceeded most of our goals set through the work of our excellent staff. We have experienced several retirements of some of our long-term staff who have done such a wonderful job over the years, and we wish them the best in this time of their lives.
P1FCU was recognized nationally in 2025 for our excellence in marketing by winning 7 Diamond Awards in several categories from America's Credit Unions in competition with 180 $1,000,000,000 and larger asset size credit unions, ranking us in the 98th percentile for earned awards. We were also recognized by Forbes Magazine as "The Best Credit Union in the State of Idaho for 2025," as we were in 2024, and regionally, we were recognized as the Best Credit Union and the Best Mortgage Lending Company in the Best of the Inland NW Community Choice Awards. Our staff engages in hundreds of region-wide community events, and locally, in each community where we operate, our staff plays an integral part in the fabric of the communities we serve.
As we roll forward into 2026, we once again have a full plate in front of us. We will continue to push for efficiency, goal attainment, and the financial results that will keep P1FCU financially strong for its members. We will be working diligently to ensure a smooth rollout of our Alkami Digital Banking platform in March, continue our Balance Sheet optimization work, monitor our Capital-Based Growth strategy, increase our net worth position, and enhance overall staff training and professional growth while developing future leaders by increasing the skills of our Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team.
I am honored to report to you that I was recently made aware that P1FCU will be recognized by Newsweek as one of America's Best Regional Banks & Credit Unions for 2026. This multi-year study analyzed thousands of banks and credit unions – incorporating financial health indicators, customer sentiment, and millions of digital reviews. We already have a start for 2026 on another award-winning year for P1FCU!
We are preparing for the 2026 Annual Business Meeting, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, at the P1FCU Administration Center located at 1025 Warner Avenue in Lewiston, Idaho.
The Board of Directors has approved board candidates submitted by our Board Secretary after the approval of the slate of candidates by our Board Nominating Committee. The election will not be conducted by ballot, and there will be no nominations from the floor when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. The Board Nominating Committee of P1FCU has nominated the following 3 candidates for 3-year terms:
Wanda Keefer - Wanda graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Accounting from Carroll College and obtained her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Montana. She is a Certified Public Accountant. Wanda is the former Port Manager for the Port of Clarkston, previously holding the position of Executive Director of the Clearwater Economic Development Association, with much experience in economic development. Wanda served as a Zions Bank Regional Advisory Committee member for 13 years and has 2 years of experience working as a credit union Teller/Savings Representative.
Brett Kinzer – Brett Kinzer is the owner and operator of Kinzer Air Heating and Cooling in Lewiston. He wears many hats in the day-to-day operations of his business. Brett enjoys helping people, and that is a big part of his business's success. Brett farmed with his family outside of Craigmont before starting his heating and cooling business. He moved to Lewiston to attend Lewis-Clark State College, where he graduated with two vo-tech degrees and a business degree. Brett enjoys many of our area's outdoor recreational opportunities with his wife and their four sons.
Kyle Morscheck – Kyle has much experience managing his own business and brings those values to our Board. Kyle owns and manages a 4th-generation farm near Genesee, Idaho. He studied information systems in college. Kyle enjoys traveling with his wife, Stephanie, and his 3 children, and being involved in the community by contributing to organizations such as the Holy Family School, the Boys and Girls Club, Clarkston High School Booster Club, and youth sports and activities in the LC Valley. He is the past President of the Pacific Northwest Direct Seed Association and is a member of The Executive Program for Agriculture Producers. Kyle has experience managing his own business and brings that perspective to the Board.
I look forward to seeing you at our 88th Annual Business Meeting.

What's New?

Three Signs of Identity Theft
Identity theft is one of the most common and damaging forms of financial fraud. Three signs include:
- Unfamiliar charges or transactions on your account.
- Accounts or loans that you didn’t apply for.
- Missing mail or unexpected bills.
Identity theft happens when someone uses your personal information, like your Social Security number or card details, for their own financial gain. If you notice any of these warning signs, act quickly by placing a fraud alert or freeze on your credit and contacting your financial institution. Better Digital Banking is Coming
We’re excited to announce that P1FCU is upgrading our Online and Mobile Banking to a new, unified Digital Banking experience later this year. This will bring a cleaner design, more innovative tools, and more control.
Nothing changes today; we’re just introducing what’s coming. We will be here to guide you through each step and provide communication and any instructions before action is required.
For more information and reasons why you’ll love what’s coming, check out our Digital Banking page on our website. This gives more details and exciting features that will be accessible with the new platform.

Giving Back Through the Holiday Season
Each holiday season, we spread joy during our Season of Giving. Through your generosity, we received donations of toys, nonperishable foods, new and gently used coats, hats, and gloves to give back to the community.
We also had our Neighbors Feeding Neighbors nominations, where people could nominate a deserving friend or neighbor to receive a turkey dinner personally delivered to them the week of Christmas. This year, there were 163 meals delivered. Thank you to everyone who nominated families, and donated gifts this holiday season!
